What We Ate Last Week - 7/7-7/20
Hey friends! Last week wasn’t the most exciting culinary adventure, but it was definitely budget-friendly, and we all ended the week with full tummies!
Sunday: Chinese Takeout
We kicked off the week with some Chinese takeout! After dropping our oldest daughter off at camp, we needed something quick and easy. We almost never eat out, so getting Chinese was a real treat!
Monday: Copycat Chick-fil-A Chicken Noodle Soup
On Monday, my husband wasn’t feeling his best, so I whipped up a quick batch of Copycat Chick-fil-A Chicken Noodle Soup. This soup is amazing and tastes just like the real deal! We paired it with some homemade sourdough I had baked earlier in the day.
Tuesday: Separate Dinners
On Tuesday, we were on our own for dinner. I had dinner with my parents while my husband worked late. We don't often do this, but sometimes it’s the easiest and makes for a mostly free meal.
Wednesday: Leftover Soup and Sourdough
Wednesday was all about finishing up the leftover soup with the sourdough loaf. Simple and satisfying!
Thursday: Anniversary Dinner
Thursday was our anniversary, and we celebrated with delicious chicken and shrimp burritos with queso. I had also picked up some fancier salsa and queso to enjoy with chips as an appetizer. It was a filling and special meal!
Friday: Leftovers
On Friday, we cleared out the fridge with leftovers. It's not exciting, but I'm not too fond of cooking when we have a ton of leftovers waiting for us. Plus, it keeps the grocery bill down!
The groceries for this week were relatively cheap, and our bellies were full. Check out my blog for the full rundown of what we ate!
Thanks for following along, and I hope you find some meal inspiration here. Stay tuned for more food adventures!
